Oikonomia positions itself as an AI strategy advisor — not as a generic management consultancy, nor as a software vendor.
We work with CEOs, CFOs, directors and department managers in Portugal who want to apply AI with discernment: based on business priorities, critical processes and the real adoption capacity of their teams.
Our focus is on two axes: sectors with specific dynamics that determine where AI has the most impact, and functional departments where processes are universal but implementation must be practical.

The name Oikonomia comes from ancient Greek: oikos (house) and nomos (management, rule). Originally, oikonomia meant the art of managing resources, people and decisions within a household or estate well — an idea that lies at the root of the word "economy" as we use it today.
We bring that root into the current business context: helping to put the 'business house' in order — processes, information, teams and decisions — using artificial intelligence in a strategic, practical and results-oriented way. For us, AI is not an end in itself, but a tool in service of good management: automating what is repetitive, providing better visibility on what matters and supporting leaders to make more informed decisions, freeing up time for what only people can do.
